Exploring Values of Marine Cultural Heritage _ A Qualtrics Survey

Title: Exploring Values of Marine Cultural Heritage _ A Qualtrics Survey
Dataset Description (Abstract): This dataset contains respondent-level data from a nationwide online survey of adults in England examining perceptions and values relating to marine natural and cultural heritage. The survey was administered using Qualtrics.

The dataset includes responses on ocean engagement and connection, perceptions of natural and cultural marine heritage (including their importance and interrelationships), awareness and interaction with shipwrecks, and socio-demographic characteristics.

It also includes data from a discrete choice experiment (DCE) in which respondents completed repeated choice tasks evaluating alternative shipwreck management programmes varying in cultural heritage safeguarding, natural heritage protection, public engagement, and associated annual costs.

The dataset is structured at the respondent level and includes attitudinal, behavioural, demographic, and stated preference (choice) data suitable for analysing public preferences and trade-offs in marine heritage management.

Dataset Description (Abstract): Dataset associated with paper Weaver J, Park KJ, Waddell EH, Kent E, Guy M, Watts K, Tonhauser E, Gill R & Fuentes-Montemayor E (In press) "Deer activity limits tree recruitment in woodland creation sites" Journal of Applied Ecology. Dataset contains information on local and landscape-level characteristics of 82 woodland patches which form part of the Woodland creation and Ecological Networks project (WrEN; http://wren-project.com/), as well as deer activity levels, herbivory impacts and tree recruitment data. Deer activity was quantified from camera trap data collected in 2020-2022. Herbivory impacts and tree recruitment were assessed during field surveys in 2022.
